Mentoring
Jess is both autistic and ADHD (AuDHD) and has a wealth of experience working with neurodivergent people both pre- and post-diagnosis. She feels that self-identification is valid and enjoys working through this process with individuals. Jess also has a PgCert in Autism.
As Jess is not a trained therapist, her work focusses more on education around neurodivergent conditions, devising systems with people to make their lives easier, and helping people comes to terms with their official diagnosis or self-identification. Jess works in a person-centred way, meaning that she does not have a strict structure for mentoring sessions, unless this is what is needed. She draws on her many years of working and assessing neurodivergent conditons (autism & ADHD) to support and guide people.
Jess has worked with couples where one or both of them are neurodivergent, and has helped them to navigate this and the compromises that are sometimes needed in relationships. She will also work with neurodivergent parents and parents of neurodivergent children, to give them a better understanding and ways in which to support both their kids and, just as importantly, themselves. Jess has children of her own so understands the highs and lows of navigating parenthood as an AuDHD mother.
Access to Work
Jess will have space to take on a limited number of Access to Work clients from April 2026.

Jess’ Testimonials
“I have to say, from the bottom of my heart, how absolutely wonderful and delightful the ‘assessment’ was! I just had a really enjoyable time talking with you. Very positive experience and such resonance with your stories and sharing. You really made me feel comfortable being myself and thoroughly accepted and ‘met’ in the dialogue. And so - the me I know myself to be when I’m truly comfortable to be myself and not trying to ensure I don’t take ’too much focus’ showed up. Thank you so much Jess. What a different experience than most people describe receiving a ‘diagnosis’ (inappropriate term as it is for this). It was a very healing experience in itself.”
Helen, Psychotherapist
"Thank you for your helpful advice. It was a joy and relief to talk openly about ASD to a knowledgeable person."
“We would like to thank you for your advice and support that you have given our son. You’ve really helped him accept who he is.”
“Jess is a very friendly and warm person, who makes you feel heard and understood. Our conversations felt very natural and I’ve come away from every session with a greater understanding of myself, a net set of practical ideas, and a clearer plan of how I can move forward. I highly recommend Jess to anyone needing any guidance and advice about autism”
“We have just had an amazing talk by Jess Hendrickx at our Autism Learns: Girls on the Autism Spectrum event. What an incredible presenter - insightful, honest, brave and funny. Not only that, but she was extremely educational; we gained some real insights into growing up as an autistic teenager and also some useful hints and tips on how to improve the wellbeing of the wonderful autistic individuals we support. Thanks so much, Jess!”
Kate Laird, Autism Learns

“Thank you very much to Jess for making me feel so at ease and heard during the assessment. I felt very anxious at the outset and Jess made it a helpful, positive and enlightening experience. I feel like it was a very first positive step in the journey ahead to understand myself and create better coping strategies.”
