Jess Hendrickx
Contact: info@asperger-training.com
Jess’ main focus is private non-clincal autism assessments, supervised clinical neurodevelopmental assessments with Axia-ASD, training, and writing. Jess was trained by Sarah Hendrickx to carry out these assessments. Our non-clinical assessments are pefect for people that would like confirmation of their neurodivergence, but do not neccessarliy need the full proof that a clinical diagnosis can offer. After the assessment, you will be provided with a comprehensive report outling how you meet/do not meet the diagnostic criteria. A report is written by Jess regardless of the outcome. As of 2025, Jess has assessed over 500 people.
Jess is available for training and public speaking events.
Jess is the co-author of Could I Really Be Autistic? (JKP, 2025) - a book for people discovering autism and how to navigate diagnosis. Jess is a published authour, contributing a chapter on autism and eating to Sarah Hendrickx’s Women and Girls on the Autism Spectrum, second edition (JKP, 2024).
Jess took over Hendrickx Associates from Sarah Hendrickx in 2019 and will be your first point of call for all enquiries. She had previously worked for Hendrickx Associates as an Administrator for several years gaining more experience of autism which led her to work as a mentor and coach with young autistic people (16+) and autistic adults. Jess has a clinical diagnosis of autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. She has two children so understands how being autistic can affect pregnancy and motherhood, in both a positive and negative way. Jess is the daughter of Sarah Hendrickx and therefore understands the experience of having an autistic parent. Jess has a Post Graduate Certificate in Autism and Asperger Syndrome from Sheffield Hallam University.

Mentoring
Jess will be opening up her books to take on new private mentoring clients from November 2025. She will have a limited number of spaces due to still carrying out non-clinical assessments, working part-time with Axia, and delivering training. Jess will not be able to mentor people that she has assessed/diagnosed as autistic, either through Hendrickx Associates or Axia - this is due to a conflict of interest.
Jess’ has a wealth of experience working with people both pre- and post-diagnosis. She feels that self-identification is valid and enjoys working through this process with individuals.
As Jess is not a trained therapist, her work focusses more on education around neurodivergent conditions, devising systems with people to make their lives easier, and helping people comes to terms with their official diagnosis or self-identification. Jess has also worked with couples where one or both of them are neurodivergent, and has helped them to navigate this and the compromises that are sometimes needed. She will also work both neurodivergent parents and parents of neurodivergent kids, to give them a better understanding and ways in which to support both their kids and themselves.
Access to Work
Jess will have space to take on a limited number of Access to Work clients from November 2025.
For any information on mentoring with Jess (both private or Access to Work) - please email info@asperger-training.com
Jess’ Testimonials
“I have to say, from the bottom of my heart, how absolutely wonderful and delightful the ‘assessment’ was! I just had a really enjoyable time talking with you. Very positive experience and such resonance with your stories and sharing. You really made me feel comfortable being myself and thoroughly accepted and ‘met’ in the dialogue. And so - the me I know myself to be when I’m truly comfortable to be myself and not trying to ensure I don’t take ’too much focus’ showed up. Thank you so much Jess. What a different experience than most people describe receiving a ‘diagnosis’ (inappropriate term as it is for this). It was a very healing experience in itself.”
Helen, Psychotherapist

“We have just had an amazing talk by Jess Hendrickx at our Autism Learns: Girls on the Autism Spectrum event. What an incredible presenter - insightful, honest, brave and funny. Not only that, but she was extremely educational; we gained some real insights into growing up as an autistic teenager and also some useful hints and tips on how to improve the wellbeing of the wonderful autistic individuals we support.
